Contract Labour Hire
Manpower is usually one of the largest costs involved in any business. The modern culture of carrying no excess labour works well if all goes to plan, but when there is a problem?
JBD Tritec can offer skilled tradesmen at very short notice to cover all eventualities. Due to the diverse nature of our business, our operatives have been exposed to many different types of working environments and machinery, this experience stands them in good stead in many different situations. Our tradesmen are trained and certificated to work on fork trucks, cherry pickers, the erection of scaffolding, fit abrasive wheels and carry out first aid, all to the best current standards.
We find that many customers require supplementary labour to cover for seasonal peaks in demand or workload, sickness cover or merely to breach a temporary skills gap. We are happy to supply tradesmen for any period to cover any shift pattern.
Planned maintenance is another prime area of supply. It is clearly not beneficial for some companies to employ their own personnel for non-critical tasks, we can undertake a review of the customers business and recommend a planned maintenance programme.
We can then schedule operatives from our mechanical and pipework divisions to ensure that this maintenance is completed on schedule and within budget, one less headache for busy site engineers.
Plant Installation and Removal
One of our specialist areas of core activity involves the removal of plant and installation of new equipment.
Production lines are constantly being upgraded, new machinery allows greater speed, alterations to existing lines are required to deal with the variety of packs demanded by marketing departments.
It is very rare that a new machine can simply be slotted in, modifications to infeeds/outfeeds are normally required as is levelling. Accumulation options may also be required to accommodate increased processing speeds.
Many of the projects undertaken are on a time critical basis. Our ethos determines that we always clearly state realistic delivery deadlines.
Examples of plant installations can be seen on our Case Study pages 'Meat processing plant' and 'Bottling Hall - Glenmorangie'.
We have specific insurance cover to the value of £2 million to ensure that all potential eventualities are covered, fortunately we have an excellent claims history.
