Client Challenge
JBD Tritec installed an L80 Peristaltic Pump, to replace a bucket elevator system on a raw sewage / septic tank installation.
This pump was the ideal solution for this site as it can produce the small flow rate required, can self prime from dry, can run dry indefinitely, will handle 80mm large solids, (in this case unscreened raw sewage), this pump has another benefit of low running speed, long periods between hose change-outs and no mechanical seals.
This pump is also mounted at ground level, and makes for easy maintenance when the hose requires changing. As a result of switching to the Peristaltic Pump, it has run continuously for 4months without operational maintenance. The pump is maintaining the influent level at the lowest they have experienced, with no chokes or issues.
