Allied Distillers: Project Tonic
Client:
Allied Distillers
Client Challenge
Allied Distillers were undertaking a "Site Separation and Upgrade" project that focused on relocating and renovating existing facilities and plant.
As part of this work the company needed to refurbish the process and service pipework at the Kennington Distillery in London. However the work required a short start-up period and needed to be completed to an exceptionally tight delivery schedule. An established and flexible subcontractor was required, and JBD Tritec were appointed as a result of their previous work and experience.
JBD Tritecs Solution
JBD Tritec were on-site in London within four days of receiving the contract bringing their expertise in delivering pipework engineering to the project. This included manufacturing and installing:
- stainless steel spirit and vent pipework
- air mains - installed using the Mannisman system
- new steam and compensate pipework for a reconditioned boiler
- a new stainless steel hotwell tank
Benefits and Results
The contract was completed on schedule ensuring that production at the Kennington Distillery could restart with minimal disruption.
Allied Distillers had this to say regarding JBD Tritec:
"I found the Tradesmen and workers to be a pleasure to work with... Although [the management team were] based in Scotland they were always on hand to organise and manage the many complex issues a project of this size always generates. I would have no hesitation in working with JBD Tritec in any future contracts."
