JBD Tritec manufactured and installed a new walk way system
Loch Lomond Distillery
Client:
Loch Lomond Distillery
Client Challenge
Loch Lomond Distillery contracted Moulson Process Plant to design and build an extension to the distillery to deliver a 30 % capacity increase. JBD Tritec Ltd, as a key supplier over the years to Loch Lomond, were contracted to carry out the full mechanical installation. The range of services on offer were ideal for the works and with the consulting engineers based in Shropshire, they relied heavily on us to coordinate all activities.
JBD Tritec’s Solution
The project involved modifications to ten off second hand 200,000 litre vessels, erection of all tanks and supporting steelwork, this also involving coordination with Railtack as local rail services had to be accommodated.
Fabrication work further included design, fabrication and installation of a fifty metre long pipebridge / walkway, tank farm, stair towers and all associated walkways. We built pipebridge sections off-site complete with integrated pipework and later installed on site.
Pipework was also done for washbacks, pipebridge, cooling towers, wash charger and new still house extension in copper and stainless steel, including steam, condensate, air, etc. The project has run to everyones’ satisfaction and will be completed on time and on budget.
